Launched in 2014,the goal is to provide a safe space for Support, Empowerment and Education. This 4-day weekend is filled with Educational Seminars, Motivational Speakers, Breakout Sessions on various topics from HIV and Mental Health, Viral Suppression, Medication Adherence, New Medication Options, Disclosure, Stigma, HIV Criminalization, Life After Diagnosis and so much more. This space also provides an opportunity to build skills and leadership, share experiences, mentor new leaders and support veteran leaders.
The Group
Founded in 2006, the goal is to enhance the quality of life for all African-American MSM’s (MenWho Have Sex with Men) living with HIV, by providing a safe and confidential space offering support, empowerment and education every 2nd Thursday.
International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
The mission of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is to honor, support, and advocate for those who have been affected by the global HIV epidemic through mobilizing communities for a world where people do not die of AIDS and people living with HIV can live in health and with dignity. Observed every 3rd Sunday in May around the world.
Positive Solutions L2C Program
Positive Solutions L2C Program works to connect newly diagnosed and existing HIV-positive individuals to medical care, mental health counseling, housing and other support services with a focus on viral suppression, retention in care and medication adherence. The program allows for a 30-60 day follow-up to help the client gain and keep their stability.
Creating Change
Assist ex-offenders living with HIV/AIDS with identifying resources and services pre and post release, i.e., job training, housing, medical care, education services, employment and other needs as identified.
Wellness Roundtable
A monthly collaborative community forum providing education, resources and exploring effective ways to improve our community and quality of life for people impacted by HIV/AIDS
Empowerment Education and Training Program
Offers skills-building workshops and trainings, i.e. HIV 101, disclosure, board development, accessing community resources, advocacy, 6 Steps to Healthier Happier You and more.
Emergency Financial Assistance Program
Assisting individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS with rental assistance, transportation assistance, medication co-pays, utility assistance and other emergency needs as identified.
